What are Apprenticeships?

Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes that provide individuals with the skills needed to succeed in their role and develop their career within a business. This means apprentices can put their skills into practice daily at work, while also gaining a nationally recognised apprenticeship and being paid.

If you are looking to kickstart your career and are considering an apprenticeship, Tees Active can help and support you to gain valuable experience in the leisure sector.

Most Tees Active apprenticeships go on to secure employment after their placement.

The Customer Service apprenticeship develops the expertise required by customer-facing specialists dealing with a range of leisure clients. The programme builds on existing knowledge to develop learners into experts in customer service, understanding the active leisure customer journey in detail.

The Business Administration Apprenticeship provides the opportunity for administrators in the fitness sector to grow and develop their skills towards management capabilities.
