Adventure Play Timetable
Soft play is one gigantic adventure to your little ones! It’s one of the first environments your child will visit that will help them to develop their social skills, physical strength and cognitive development. Our soft play sessions encourage complete creativity to build structures and explore boundaries in a safe and controlled area. Your little ones will have heaps of fun hopping, jumping and leaping about as much as they like!
We have soft play sessions that are suitable for small babies through to energetic toddlers. Take a look at our adventure play offer across the venues and check the timetable for session times and prices. We can’t wait to welcome you back safely to enjoy soft play across our centres. From Monday 21st we will begin offering sessions at The Reef in IB Leisure and PlayBarn in Billingham Forum. Please make sure you read the FAQs before visiting.

Soft Play at Thornaby Pavilion is planned to reopen sometime in October. Please keep checking back for up to date info or contact the venue.
Baby and Weenie Gym sessions at Splash is planned to open sometime in November. Please keep checking back for up to date info or contact the venue.
The Reef at IB Leisure will hold up to 8 people total per session. PlayBarn at Billingham Forum will hold up to 10 people total per session.
All spaces must be booked online before attending the venue.
All soft play sessions must be booked online using Tees Active’s new Online Booking Platform.
Everyone must register for an account on the new Tees Active booking system. It’s really important that you choose the correct option when joining to ensure you don’t run into any difficulties that could delay your ability to book activities.

You will have the choice of booking for:
Masks/face coverings must be worn by parents throughout the session. Children are not required to wear a mask/face covering.
Everyone must sanitise their hands on arrival at the venue and we ask anyone who is showing symptoms of Covid-19 not to visit, not matter how mild their symptoms may be.
We will be closing the soft play every two hours so our teams can conduct a deep clean of the entire space.
We ask that parents closely monitor their children to ensure they maintain social distancing.
We ask that all parents wear a face mask or covering, unless they are exempt, for the safety of themselves and others.
Soft Play at Billingham Forum is suitable for children aged 8 years and younger. IB Leisure is 5 years and younger.
When you arrive at the venue you will be greeted by our concierge who will direct you to a check-in point and as you to sanitise your hands. Please be mindful of others throughout your visit and follow current social distancing guidelines. Some venues have specific entry and exit routes, please follow the signage in place and adhere to the directions of our staff.
We have provided seating for parents which have been spaced 2m apart from one another. We ask all visitors not to move the seating and sanitise before and after use.
The PlayBarn offers many unique features from a wavy slide, climbing nets and ball pool to stepping stones, a wobble floor and a log ramp!
The Reef adventure play is located within the new IB Leisure and is a bright and inviting space for kids to play under the sea!
Our Baby Gym and Weenie Gym sessions allow babies to jump and climb around our Soft Play pieces, helping to build confidence and improve balance and coordination.
Children can create their own adventure as they explore this safe and exciting environment. You little ones are encouraged to jump, climb, roll and bounce to help keep them active and entertained!
With colder weather and the flu season just around the corner, we are helping to encourage smokers in our community to take up the 28-day Stoptober challenge by providing helpful tips and advice. There’s never been a better time to quit!
Tees Active have formed an exciting partnership with Water Babies Tees Valley to further develop the swimming programme at Tees Active.
On Friday 21st August the Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak, along with local MP Matt Vickers, visited the new IB Leisure facility at Ingleby Barwick.
Tees Active opened its latest venue on Monday 10th August, a brand new leisure centre in the heart of Ingleby Barwick – IB Leisure!
On Saturday 25th July we were finally able to open the doors of our leisure centres and welcome you all with, socially distanced, open arms and we couldn’t be happier!

Stockton’s leisure centres have donated over £1000 worth of confectionery from their cafés and vending machines to support frontline staff at The University Hospital of North Tees and James Cook University Hospital.
