Tees Barrage International White Water Centre is Teesside’s award-winning home of adventure, which was reopened by Queen Elizabeth II in 2012 after extensive redevelopment. This magnificent centre of activity can be found on the banks of the River Tees between Stockton and Middlesbrough and offers a unique variety of watersports the whole family can enjoy!

Powered by 4 gigantic Archimedes Screws, Tees Barrage’s world-class white water facilities allow for a wide variety of fun! From Stand Up Paddleboarding to White Water Rafting, Bell Boating, Paddlesports, Powerboat Trips and so much more, we have everything you need to have an adventure you’ll never forget. Our Jubilee and Diamond courses deliver an amazing experience guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping!

Tees Barrage is home to NorthShore WaterSports, the ultimate kayaking and canoeing store as well as Air Trail, the UK’s biggest high ropes adventure course! On top of all of this we are surrounded by thriving wildlife, both on land and in the River Tees and a beautiful nature reserve for those of you who would prefer to take a long walk or bike ride, have a picnic or even relax at our Oasis Cafe.
