Commercial Training Services

Tees Active is recognised for providing a wide range of quality training courses certified by governing bodies and delivered by experienced and fully qualified trainers. As part of our commitment to delivering the best possible service to the community, we have ensured that a number of our staff have completed a variety of Trainer Assessor Courses. This means we can offer continuous training to our teams as well as offer opportunities for businesses and individuals to take part in a number of courses locally which will benefit them.

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

This is a nationally recognised qualification, the awarding body for The Royal Life Saving Society is The Institute of Qualified Lifeguards.

  • Certificate valid for 24 months from date of the assessment

  • Supervising and communicating with pool users

  • CPR and Defib training

First Aid at Work

Ideal for first aiders in higher-risk working environments, such as manufacturing and construction.

  • 3 day course

  • Certificate valid for 3 years

  • Extending CPR training to include practical use of a face-shield / pocket mask

First Aid Requalification

Refresh and re-qualify first aiders that have previously been awarded a full First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate.

  • 2 day course

  • Certificate valid for 3 years

  • Refresh a first aider’s skills in the practical use of an AED

Emergency First Aid

Ideal for first aiders in smaller or lower risk working environments, such as offices and shops.

  • 1 full day

  • Certificate valid for 3 years

  • Enhancing basic CPR training to include the use of an AED

Paediatric First Aid

Suitable for learners who care for children in a professional setting

  • This course is recognised by OFSTED for the Early Years Foundation State (EYFS)

  • This course can be used as evidence for an NVQ in childcare and education

  • Meets childcare registration requirements

AED Training with a First Aid certificate

This course is suitable for people aged 16+ who have a current first aid certificate and want to learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

  • Certificate valid for 2 years

AED Training without a First Aid certificate

This course is suitable for people aged 16+ who don’t have a current first aid certificate but want to learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

  • Certificate valid for 2 years

Evac+Chair Training

Safe evacuation isn’t just the purchase of an Evac+Chair. It is recommended that all operators carry out training to ensure the Evac+Chair is used in the correct and safe manner Our training courses are valid for three years, after which we recommend that all delegates refresh their knowledge and practical experience.
