Based inside Thornaby Pavilion is a regulation sized, indoor bowls facility with an excellent lounge area for those who prefer to watch rather than play! Home to a variety of leagues suitable for all abilities, including specialised equipment for those who need it, this indoor bowls facility provides an accessible and welcoming space for seasoned pros or complete beginners.
Thornaby Indoor Bowls Club encourages people of all abilities to participate in the game of indoor bowls. The club can provide specialised equipment to enable everyone to play bowls.
Thornaby Indoor Bowls club is located on the first floor of Thornaby Pavilion Leisure Centre in Thornaby Town Centre. External access to the club is via a gentle sloping wheelchair ramp or alternatively by a passenger lift located directly inside the automatically opening entrance doors. Disabled car parking is available at the back of the centre which is approximately 200 metres from the main entrance.
Toilets are available in the bowls club and also within the leisure centre which provides disabled toilets and changing facilities.
The club provides monthly sessions for the blind & visual impaired as well as access to the green for roll up. Coaching can also be provided by one of our specialist coaches but must be booked in advance.

At our Indoor Bowls Club we offer a variety of memberships. Full Membership entitles the bowler to bowl at any time. Junior Membership allows the bowler to play in the adult leagues.
