Activ8 Health & Fitness works in partnership with official Les Mills UK presenter Leona Petch to raise £550 for The Civic Mayor of Stockton-on-Tees chosen charities.
On Saturday 20th January 2024 Thornaby Pavilion welcomed over 100 enthusiastic Activ8 Health & Fitness customers for a Live Les Mills Masterclass to launch the addition of brand new Les Mills Shapes to the already extensive fitness class programme and celebrate the new release of popular Les Mills Bodycombat.
The event, which was the first of its type within Activ8 Health & Fitness, was delivered by official Les Mills UK trainer, assessor and presenter Leona Petch. The event consisted of two 45-minute sessions, including the new LES MILLS BODYCOMBAT Release 97 and brand new LES MILLS SHAPES Release 1. Leona was joined on stage by Activ8’s very own instructors Sarah and Rachel for BODYCOMBAT and Sarah, Rachel, Lucy, and Lou for SHAPES.
The £550 raised by this fantastic launch event was donated to The Mayor’s chosen charities; Eastern Ravens Trust and North East Autism Society and helped to raise further awareness to these great causes. The Mayor who was in attendance at the event was pleased to meet the instructors, talk to customers and gain a greater understanding of the fitness classes provided by Activ8 Health & Fitness and Les Mills.
Everyone in attendance had an amazing time, with Activ8 member Amy saying, “It was a brilliant event to be a part of” and that she “felt incredibly lucky to attend the classes taught by Leona from Les Mills UK and to be introduced to the Mayor as well”.
