Make Your Move

The aim of the project was to encourage inactive females aged 11+ to increase their physical activity levels by
providing a female friendly ice skating session at Billingham Forum Ice Arena

Initial funding was for 18 months from SPORTA (Community Leisure UK) via the Sport England Make Your Move Fund.
Due to the success of the scheme, funding was extended for a further 6 months. In July 2016 Tees Valley Community Foundation funded Make Your Move on Mondays for a further 6 months (the coaching element of the project was not funded).

From January 2017 all funding ceased for the project and Tees Active introduced a fee of £3 which includes skate hire. This price is heavily discounted from the normal price of £11:30
