One of the Stockton’s most established swimming pools has received a highly recognised national award for ‘Customer Experience’. Thornaby Pool achieved ‘Gold’ in the 2019 Member Experience Awards, a platform introduced to recognise high standards and consistent performance within the Health and Fitness Industry.
Thornaby Pool, which is managed by local leisure trust Tees Active, uses the globally recognised Net Promoter Score® (NPS) system to measure customer experience based on visits to the facility.
Leon Jones, Tees Active Managing Director, explains “The NPS system is used across the world over and it’s fantastic to see Thornaby Pool gain such a positive accolade. We are extremely passionate about providing the best possible service for our customers, so it’s great to know that they value our facilities as much as we value each and every one of them.”
Customers receive a short survey following their visit which prompted feedback such as, “Thornaby pool has everything I need, with friendly staff this makes all the difference” and “The staff are friendly and helpful and give me advice on activities. They are great with children.”
