On 1st June 2018, Stockton based leisure trust Tees Active, who manage leisure services on behalf of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, appointed Leon Jones as its new Managing Director. Leon joined Tees Active in 2010 as Commercial Manager and brings with him over 20 years of leadership and leisure industry experience in the private and public sector.
In his home town of Chester, Leon began his career in health and fitness marketing consultancy before relocating to the North East to expand a regional gym group, before moving on to work in leisure and culture local authority management.
“I am passionate about health & wellbeing and encouraging Stockton communities to become healthier and more active. We will continue to innovate and be creative in improving social outcomes and inspire healthy lifestyles”.
