Tees Active’s Stockton Summer HAF 2025
As one of Stockton’s Summer HAF providers, Tees Active was able to provide over 2600 places over the 6 week summer holiday period. This summer’s provision was the most extensive and varied with activities ranging from the very popular Holiday Club to SEND Family Kayaking sessions.
This summer included 12 specific family sessions which included 2 exclusive ice parties,6 Air Trail sessions and 4 Family Kayaking sessions with all these sessions proving to be extremely popular and sold out in days.
One parent said “Had a fab time. It’s good that you are offering interesting things to do as a family.”
After piloting several different SEND specific sessions in the Easter Holiday ,18 SEND sessions were offered throughout the 6 week holiday period and places were in high demand, one parent expressed her appreciation by saying “These sessions are invaluable.”
Lynne Brumpton from the Department of Education visited a HAF GoClimb session and after her visit she said “It was truly a delightful experience, and I could see first-hand how welcomed and safe the children felt, this sense of security undoubtedly contributed to a positive and enjoyable experience for them.
Moreover, I found it wonderfully reassuring for the parents to be involved, it clearly instilled a sense of confidence in the children, which was heartwarming to witness. Speaking to a couple of parents, I learned how appreciative they are of the wide range of events that HAF and particularly Tees Active offer across Teesside. It is always a pleasure to see the fantastic work that is delivered, you should be immensely proud of the engaging manner in which you do so.”
Tees Active will be working in partnership with Stockton Council to make the HAF Christmas 2025 programme the best provision for children in the North East.
