Tees Active Team Digs Deep for a Greener Future
This week, the Tees Active team rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into some tree planting at Kinloss Walk, Thornaby, in partnership with Trees for Cities. It was a rewarding morning spent helping to plant the final batch of over 700 trees, contributing to a fantastic nationwide effort—Trees for Cities has planted an incredible 116,772 trees across the UK, this year alone!
Allan McDemott Our Community Engagement Manager summed up the experience perfectly: “It was a rewarding day for the team and the environment. Everyone got involved, and it was brilliant to see the difference we were making. Plus, a well-earned cup of tea and a biscuits helped keep spirits high!”
At Tees Active, we’re passionate about giving back to our community and supporting sustainable initiatives. This project is a great example of how small efforts can lead to a big impact, creating greener, healthier spaces for future generations.
A huge thank you to Trees for Cities for the opportunity and to our hardworking team for getting stuck in. Here’s to more green initiatives in the future!
