Tees Active Signs Long-Term Partnership With RLSS UK
Tees Active has recently signed a 3-year partnership agreement to become a Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) Commercial Partner.
Tees Active, a leading charitable trust providing sport, leisure and wellbeing services to communities in partnership with Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and manages several leisure facilities in the Stockton-on-Tees Borough including 4 swimming pools located at Billingham Forum, IB Leisure, Stockton Splash and Thornaby Pool.
RLSS UK is the leading provider of lifesaving and lifeguarding training and water safety education in the UK and Ireland. Established in 1891, it develops regulated and vocational qualifications and awards and shares expertise in water safety, lifesaving, and lifeguarding to educate the public to enjoy water safely.
The new long-term partnership with the UK’s leading lifeguarding qualifications provider will give Tees Active staff access to the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), the sector’s most awarded, robust, and recognised lifeguarding qualification in the UK and Ireland. Continually reviewed to meet the needs and demands of the Leisure sector, the NPLQ combines lifeguard education with technological advances to give lifeguards all the skills they need to reduce risks.
