Tees Active have formed an exciting partnership with Water Babies Tees Valley to further develop the swimming programme at Tees Active.

Our new partnership sees sessions being provided by Water Babies at Billingham Forum and the newly opened venue IB Leisure located at the heart of Ingleby Barwick.

Tees Active’s Aquatics Manager Diane Wilson said “It’s brilliant to be working in partnership with Water Babies Tees Valley. They are an established brand that bring years of experience and specialist skills to our centres. By introducing Water Babies sessions in our venues it allows our young visitors to build and develop their water confidence before enrolling onto the Tees Active Learn to Swim Scheme. We look forward to working closely with Water Babies and welcoming many new little swimmers to our venues.”

Water Babies’ Owner Pamela Hargreaves said “We are really pleased to be working in partnership with Tees Active and to be able to expand our services into new venues which ultimately helps to raise the profile of swimming in our region. Water Babies sessions are fun, social and are delivered by our Level 3 specially qualified coaches. So far we have seen huge demand for our sessions at Billingham and Ingleby Barwick and we look forward to continue delivering these sessions.”

Water Babies sessions last for 30 minutes and are delivered with intimate class sizes (a maximum of 10 little ones, a carer per child and one of our teachers). Each session is tailored to the group with water skills taught through song, play and repetition allowing your little ones to develop their confidence and water safety skills in no time.
