Stockton-on-Tees leisure trust Tees Active is investing over £600k in its health and fitness brand, Activ8.
The developments, which are expected to be completed by December this year, will include a major renewal of its current equipment provision through the continued partnership with industry leaders Technogym™, the installation of three advanced functional training areas and the launch of Technogym’s mywellness® app.
Leon Jones, Managing Director of Tees Active, explains “Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and we pride ourselves on creating the best possible experience each and every time they visit. This investment will allow us to offer some of the most advanced training technology and exercise equipment that can be found anywhere in the region. As a charitable leisure trust we invest everything back into developing the facilities and services we manage to ensure we can continue to provide state-of-the-art facilities at an affordable price for our customers.”
The investment will include several pieces of kit that cannot be found together anywhere in the North East, comprising of Technogym’s cutting edge SKILL™ range of cardio machines and TEAMBEATS™, a unique functional training concept that delivers a fun and engaging workout by analysing performance metrics, such as heart rate, to optimise work and rest periods.
Health and Wellbeing Manager, Gail Mckenna, added “We have always believed in driving innovation and leading from the front as part of our commitment to creating a positive environment for our customers. Regular communication is a key part of the service we provide and the introduction of Technogym’s mywellness app will be a great addition for us to help customers achieve their health and wellbeing goals.”
