Make a splash this summer – family fun swim sessions without splashing out!

Billingham Forum, Stockton Splash and Thornaby Pool are offering a variety of fun and affordable daily swim sessions throughout summer including fun flumes, fun floats, aqua run inflatables, aqua gliders, a wave machine and much more.

Here at Tees Active we understand the importance of spending time and making lasting memories with your family and swimming is a great way of doing that.

Billingham Forum

Come and make a splash at Billingham Forum this summer. We have a great range of facilities ideal for all kinds of water activities. Check the timetables below and scroll down the page to see all the activities on offer.

 

Fun Floats

A fun packed session with floats. An exciting experience for children of all ages to splash about and play.

The Rapid Racer Inflatable (New to Billingham Forum)

Come and challenge your friends with a go on The Rapid Racer Inflatable. It’s fun and fast and your bound to have lots of laughs. You will be able to climb, jump and slide your way through the inflatable before splashing into the water at the end if you haven’t already fallen in that is! Sessions will run at throughout the holidays (Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays – 13:15 till 14:45) for ages 2- 16 years, adults can go in the pool with children to assist them but not allowed on the inflatable itself. Parent and Toddler Water Confidence Area

A shallow area with floats suitable for parents with young children. A great area to get your children confident in the water to practice their strokes and to have lots of giggles.

Public Swim Session

These sessions are open to everyone so come along and practice your swimming skills. Improve your strokes and get holiday ready for time spent at the beach and by the pool over the summer months. Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied in the water at all times by an adult aged 16+ (max. 2 children per adult).

Learn to Swim

Our swimmers take a journey through aquatics and develop a wide range of skills. From their first splashes right through to becoming a Tees Active Complete Swimmer, swimmers will follow the ASA’s learn to swim pathway and acquire the fundamental knowledge to support a life-long achievement in swimming. Stockton Splash

If you’re looking for a fun time in the water then Splash is an ideal place to visit. With its wave machine, fun flumes, inflatables, baby pool and jacuzzi its sure to be a hit with the whole family. Splash also has a large range of party options in the water. Check the timetables below and scroll down the page to see all the activities on offer.

 

Big Splash Swimtime

Big Splash Swimtime is our all-inclusive swimming session with the excitement of our fabulous wave machine, various water jets and our two flumes Reef and Surf! The large fun floats are also available intermittently during these sessions. Our Big Splash Swimtime sessions are a fantastic choice for a family activity. Family swim tickets are available and all children aged under 3 years swim for free!

Big Splash Family Night

All the fun of our Big Splash Swimtime sessions but specifically for families. All children, regardless of age, must be accompanied in the water by at least one adult for this session.

Back to School Pool Party – 28th August, 5-7pm

See the holidays out in style and come to the coolest party in town at Stockton Splash. There will be lots going on including a free prize draw, floats, flumes and the water will even change colour!

Tickets are available from reception at Stockton Splash (Adults £6, Juniors £4.50)

Aqua Gliders

As well as experiencing Aqua Gliders at a birthday party we also have designated sessions running throughout the school holidays. This session is perfect for children aged 4-8yrs* and includes a number of splashtastic games including Aqua battles, Aqua relays and Aqua shot. Come and give it a go this holidays!

The Jolly Racer Inflatable

Climb aboard The Jolly Racer Inflatable and race along the deck. Challenge your friends and race along the inflatable and try not to fall in to the pool. Your children are bound to have a great time climbing, sliding and jumping as they navigate through the inflatable. There will be various sessions at Thornaby Pool throughout the summer and you can also book one of these sessions exclusively for a party.

Rookie Lifeguard

This session allows children to learn valuable lifesaving rescue skills, CPR, towing techniques, how to use rescue equipment and more in a fun and safe environment. Ask at Thornaby Pool reception for more information.

Swimming Visitor Guidelines & Policies

  • Any child under the age of 8 years old regardless of their swimming abilityMUST be supervised in the water at all times by a responsible person. Supervision is on the ratio of ONE adult for every TWO children.
  • Please inform the lifeguards if you have a medical condition that may compromise your safety or that of other swimmers before entering the pool.
  • If you have experienced sickness or diarrhoea in the last 48 hours you should not enter the pool.
  • Get to know the water depth and how/where the pool changes depth.
  • Wear approved swimming aids such as armbands if you are a non-swimmer.
  • Shower before you swim
  • Follow the rules and obey Safety Notices and the Lifeguards
  • Help us provide a safe environment for all swimmers
  • Don’t leave children under the age of 8 years old alone in or around the water including the changing rooms.
  • Don’t swim out of your depth. Weak and non-swimmers regardless of age are restricted to designated safe areas of the swimming pool. (Weak swimmers are those unable to swim one length of the main pool).
  • Don’t swim straight after a meal or after drinking alcohol.
  • Don’t fool about. Have fun but be aware the Horseplay, Ducking or Bombing can be dangerous.
  • No face masks, snorkels, flippers or hand paddles during public swimming sessions.
  • Appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times, it must provide appropriate cover and be suitable for swimming, shorts should have a mesh lining and be cut above the knee.
  • Babies must wear a swim nappy (available for purchase from reception)
  • Please follow the Swimming Etiquette information/guidelines displayed around the pool areas at all times.
