Santa’s Seasonal Splash
The children of Treetops Nursery at Thornaby Pavilion had a special guest visitor bearing gifts. Santa Claus took a break from his very busy schedule when he surprised the children to join them during their Christmas party. To make their day even more special each child was presented with a copy of Splash written by Paralympics GB Gold Medallist Claire Cashmore.
The Splash book was thanks to funding from Tees Million which has funded the Swimming in Books initiative which is designed to inspire reading and improve literacy and numeracy at the earliest age to provide children with the best start in life.
Dawn Mulgrew, Treetops Supervisor said “The Children had a fantastic end of term Christmas party. The Children enjoyed plenty of games and lots of party food. The experience was topped off with a visit from the big man himself, Santa brought each child a present and an extra special gift of the Splash book, this was a big hit with all the children and the parents. “
We will leave the last word to the man of the hour, Santa “I told all the little boys and girls that they have been very well behaved this year and that reading is great fun and I am sure that all the family will enjoy reading together.”
