Christmas Ice Party Celebrates Stockton HAF 2024
Over 200 children, parents and carers attended the Christmas HAF Celebration party at Billingham Forum Ice Arena.
The party goers had exclusive use of the Ice rink and special guests Snow White, Elsa, Captain America and Spiderman joined in the fun to keep everybody entertained whilst being mobbed by children for selfies and photos.
The Forums skating aids which include snowmen, penguins and their latest addition Polar bears were in demand to help the more nervous skaters negotiate the ice.
Tees Active had donated a free 10 week Learn to Skate course and the prize which was presented by Tees Actives Ice Skating Professional Annalise Jones and staff member Erin Flynn to the lucky winner Farrah-Leigh Nicol from Stockton. It was a double celebration for Farrah-Leigh as she was also celebrating her sixth birthday.
At the end of the party all the children were asked to write their comments on the party on a graffiti board and were then presented with a selection box which put all the families in a festive mood.
Allan McDermott, Tees Actives Community Engagement Manager said “This has been a great way for the whole family to celebrate Stockton HAF 2024 and get everybody in the mood for Christmas. Judging by the positive comments from children and adults everybody has had a great time. Stocktons HAF programme has been a fantastic success and is testament to the hard work of Clare Besford and Rebekkah Jennings at Catalyst, Mandie Rowlands and her team at Stockton Council and the great providers who deliver all HAF activities across the borough.”
