As Glastonbury 2021 was cancelled, we decided to set a challenge that asked our swimmers to swim the equivalent of Glastonbury’s epic perimeter. To finish, swimmers had to complete a 13.22km swim between 7th and 30th June.

The Glastonbury Festival is held in the village of Pilton, just to the East of the town of Glastonbury in Somerset. Starting in 1970 as the Pilton Festival, it’s grown to be the largest festival of music and contemporary art in the UK. Whether you had a ticket to go to Glastonbury or had plans to watch from home like us, it hit hard that this legendary music festival wasn’t going ahead as planned in 2021.

37 members took part with SWIMTAG in this latest challenge, with one lucky swimmer who completed the challenge being chosen at random and winning a £75 Ticketmaster gift card to put towards a concert or event of their choosing. Congratulations Anthony Southern!

Thank you to everyone who took part in our latest swim challenge. We couldn’t have had our own Glastonbury without you! Our next swim challenge gives swimmers the chance to win their own replica Olympic medal as we travel to Tokyo for the 2020/2021 Summer Olypmics!
