Following on from the latest government announcement today (Wednesday 30th December) we are deeply saddened to find ourselves in Tier 4 along with the restrictions this brings. It is therefore with regret that all our venues will be closed from tomorrow (Thursday 31st December) and will remain closed until further notice.

We understand that many of you will have questions and our team will be working hard to answer these as quickly as possible. The same processes will apply as with the previous recent closures outlined below:

  • All memberships and lessons will automatically be frozen free of charge and no Direct Debit payments will be taken whilst our venues are closed. This is an automatic process and no action is required from you. The best way to offer your ongoing support to Tees Active is not to cancel your Direct Debit during this time.
  • If you have paid up front for any membership, the period of the closure will be added to the end of your contract.
  • All lesson places will remain secure until we reopen.
  • We will also contact customers directly who have bookings planned to rearrange to an alternative date or to provide a full refund.

Importantly, we will also be updating the FAQs across all of our websites to ensure they reflect the latest government update, so please ensure you check the relevant website first to ensure the quickest response.

During the closures all Activ8 members will be able to stay active by gaining access to the new On Demand service which is currently free of charge. This service offers an extensive range of workouts to appeal to all ages and genders from fitness class enthusiasts to gym goers. Members will have access to 100+ pre-recorded workouts with new content added on a weekly basis! These can be completed anytime from the comfort of their home and includes strength, functional training, stretching and dance workouts plus much more. There really is something for everyone! Like all businesses finding themselves in Tier 4, we are bitterly upset and frustrated at having to close our venues again but we hope that these closures are a short-term, temporary measure and we eagerly await the next government review in regards to the Tiers.

We have been overwhelmed with the support from all of our customers and members so far in what can only be described as a hugely difficult year and we hope you can continue with us into 2021 where we are sure better times lie ahead. We will continue to offer our valuable support and services to our community and we ensure that we will be here to help you unlock your health and happiness in 2021!
