Our customers are the heartbeat of our venues and we’ve missed seeing you all. We are delighted that we can reopen many of our services and allow you to start being more active again. In order to do this safely and responsibly, we’ve had to make some changes that you need to be aware of before visiting. Please use the quick links above for specific activity information or read the FAQs below for everything you need to know when planning your visit.
If you have any symptoms or are feeling unwell, we ask that you cancel your session and stay at home to protect our staff and customers.
From Monday 19th July, not all activities need to be booked online in advance. Please visit the relevant web pages for activities to find out more.
We have positioned hand santising stations at the entrance to every venue and within each activity area. Please use them regularly throughout your visit.
We have enhanced our cleanig regime and ask that all customers wipe down any surfaces with the available cleaning products before and after use.
We have installed signage and some areas operate a one-way system. Please be mindful of others at all times and follow social distancing guidance.
Our teams are doing everything they can the ensure everyone can enjoy keeping active in a safe way. Please be patient and understanding.
When possible we ask that you use contactless payment methods to avoid handling cash.
From Monday 19th July face coverings are optional in our venues. We ask that visitors remain mindful of others and their choices. Our staff will have face masks they can wear when dealing with visitors.

As you would expect, we’ve made some necessary changes across all of our venues to ensure we can reopen safely and responsibly. Scroll down this page to watch some of our welcome back videos. This will give you an idea of the new operations we have introduced and what you can expect to see when you visit.
From Monday 19th July, not all activities must be booked online in advance. Gym sessions no longer need to be booked and you will still be able to pre-book swim sessions through our online booking platform and by calling the relevant venue, however walk-ins will also be accepted subject to availability.
Fitness classes must be booked online in advance due to limited spaces.
For the Ice Arena, Public Skating and Make Your Move Sessions you don’t need to book, just turn up on the day for your nominated session and pay at the Main Reception. We are taking bookings for Private Lessons, Learn to Skate and Figure Skating sessions – all you need to do is pop into the centre or contact Reception on 01642 551381 and a member of the reception team will help.
You can only book for 1 adult through your online booking account, unless you are booking a family pass as these cover 2 adults and 2 children. Adults can book spaces for themselves and up to 2 children for activities which allow it.
Each adult needs to create their own booking account and book their sessions through this. Junior Activ8 members also need to create their own booking account which is linked to their membership to book their sessions.
In order to have their own accounts, junior Activ8 members need to have their own email address.
Everyone must register for an account on the new Tees Active booking system. It’s really important that you choose the correct option when joining to ensure you don’t run into any difficulties that could delay your ability to book activities.

Our reception teams will be happy to assist you with any questions or issues you are having booking activities and can book sessions for you. Head to the Contact Us page and telephone the relevant venue.
We have adopted a gradual approach to reopening our activities to help keep our visitors and staff safe during this time. We are committed to reopening more activities as soon as it is safe for us to do so. Please keep an eye on our social medias and websites for information as it’s released.
We are allowing adults to spectator their children taking part in paid activities in our venues, but this is controlled from the point of entry to ensure everyone’s safety.
Face masks/coverings must be worn in all circulation areas of our venues i.e. reception areas and corridors by all visitors aged 11+, but we do not require visitors to wear face masks when taking part in physical activities, however you can wear one if you would prefer.
Visitors to Billingham Forum Ice Arena are required to wear a face mask when within the arena but these can be removed once on the ice. See here for more information.
From Monday 19th July, in line with Government guidance, face coverings are optional in all Tees Active venues. We ask that all visitors are mindful of one another and respect each other’s decisions regarding these.
