Title Triumph for Town
12 young boys from the Forum Soccer School have had a successful start to their young competitive football careers as they have recently won the Teesside Junior Football Alliance Durham Division 1 Under 8’s title.

To make this feat even more memorable the boys completed the season unbeaten winning 13 games and drawing one, scoring a total of 50 goals whilst only conceding 7. This extremely talented squad which consisted of James Cartwright, Alex Brown, George Bailey, James Burdon, Ben Tomlinson Michael Andrews, Tom Copeland, Nathan Tonks, Harry Savage, Jack Maddren, Liam Travers, Max Thompson and Jacob Gately played under the banner of the FA Charter Standard Development Club Billingham Town FC, who have forged a strong link with the Forum Soccer School which runs 4 classes per week.
Manager Andy Tomlinson said “although the boys were unbeaten some of the games were extremely close and on several occasions we went behind but the team showed great spirit and in every game they played right to the final whistle and fortunately we came out on top.”
Not content with their recent triumph, the Billingham Team have entered the Middlesbrough Football Club, Football in the Community League held at their development centre at Eston and currently are top of the Under 9’s league.
FA Licensed Coach Allan McDermott who coaches the Tees Active Forum Soccer School said “The boys have been really successful and it is great to see all of them developing. They play the game in the right way and they have become a very strong squad.
