Tees Actives Terriers Triumph on the Mount

 

Seven young boys from the Forum Soccer School had a successful start to their competitive football careers as they competed at the Mount Pleasant FC Football Festival on Sunday 25th June.

The team who played in the Under 7 section consisted of Liam Travers, Jacob Gatley, James Cartwright, Luke Duffy, Harry Savage, Mattie Wilson and Brandon O’Brien were undefeated in all their games.

All the boys who attend Tees Actives Forum Soccer School saw off opposition from Barnard Castle, Coulby Newham, Leven, Richmond Town and South Park Rangers.

FA Licensed Coach Allan McDermott said, “I am really pleased with the performance of the boys, they all played extremely well. The boys all played in a variety of positions showing great versatility. They also won the last game  4-1 with only six players as one of the playerTerrierss was injured and everybody remarked on their high skill levels ”

The boys played under the banner of FA Charter Standard Development Club Billingham Town FC, who have forged a strong link with the Forum Soccer School who run 4 classes per week.

Tees Active are catering for the increased interest in football generated by the World Cup by  organising their very own schools Mini World Cup with over 18 teams from Stockton, Thornaby and Billingham representing countries who have competed in the recent World Cup. The tournament  which is to be staged at Thornaby Pavilion on July 10th is sure to be a great success.
