Tees Actives Young Persons Active Health Scheme Team staged a memorable event for over 150 members of the Young Persons Active Health Scheme, their families and friends at Billingham Forum. The scheme which is funded by the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund and is part of the health packages managed by North Tees PCT had exclusive use of the Forums Ice rink. Swimming pool and various halls.

Participants had the opportunity sample spinning, Aerokidz/Aerojam and cheerleading sessions. Families were also invited to Smoothie Making Sessions where they were able to taste healthy drinks such as Steph’s Strawberry Splash and Cheryl’s Smoothie Surprise, as well as taking advantage of exclusive use of the pool and rink.

CheerleadingFamilies completed feedback forms which will allow Tees Active team help shape future junior activity programmes. Paul Bambrough, Young Persons Active Lifestyle Manager said “The event has been a fantastic success with over 150 people taking part and the feed back from the taster sessions has been very positive. I am particularly pleased how well our Smoothie making and taster sessions were received. We are now busy organising our Pool Party at Splash for the Young Person Active Schemes members in October
