We all know that children love a good birthday bash and what better way for them to enjoy themselves on their birthday than to have a party with all their friends. These days there is much more to a children’s party than jelly, ice cream and pass the parcel, and what an opportunity for children to try a new sport. Football and swimming are popular party choices, but Tees Active have just introduced three new and original party options to add to the great range of choice already on offer at your local Active Life Centres.
Bell Boating parties are now available at Castlegate Quay Watersports Centre, offering a great fun water sports team activity suitable for children of 8 years and above. These twin-hulled canoes can accommodate 10 children per boat and are great for the complete beginner. You can come along and play games and take a trip up the river.
If you prefer to be in the water and not on it, you could chose to have an Aqua Jet Party at Thornaby Pool. The aqua jet can pull you along under the water or on the surface with activity sessions such as time trials and obstacle courses to compete against your friends. These sessions are suitable for children between 8 – 14 years old.
How about blowing off the cobwebs at speed, you can now also choose a powerboat party aimed at those between 8 and 16 years old. Experience the thrill of the high-speed craft when we open up the throttle along the river Tees. 4 people can experience this fantastic experience in each of our 2 powerboats.
