In The Swing
Local golfers have got the ideal opportunity to improve their game during the harsh winter months in the warmth of Thornaby Pavilion. Instead of enduring bitterly cold winds with the prospect of attempting to grip your clubs in freezing cold conditions, you can improve your swing in the more comfortable surroundings of the main sports hall at Thornaby Pavilion.
Local golf professional Stuart Pilgrim is conducting an 8 week course designed to improve your golf game.
Adult sessions will consist of fault finding and rectifying any problems a player may have with their swing. You can also take the opportunity to ask individual questions on situations you may find yourself in on the golf course. There will also time set aside to cover areas of the game such as rules and etiquette on and off the course.
Stuart is also taking a specific session designed for juniors which will correct their swing and the session will finish off with several games and competitions.
Dave Seller, Thornaby Pavilion Manager said “We are fortunate to have someone of Stuart’s calibre to take a course of this nature. At this time of year it is no fun struggling against the elements and your technique can be the last thing on your mind.”
The course is held on Friday evenings with the junior sessions taking place between 4-5pm with the adult sessions taking place between 5-6pm.The 8 week course is due to start on the 18th January.
