Edward No Novice on Ice
Edward was inspired to take up figure skating after watching the Panto Wizard of Oz on Ice at Billingham Forum 10 years ago.
Edward who trains 10 hours per week on ice and completes a further 2 hours off ice training per week at Billingham Forum, qualified for the championships after passing a series of gruelling tests in Billingham, Hull and Sheffield
Alex Jones who has coached Edward from the very start of his career says "This year Edward has stepped up a category and this competition is part of his long term skating development .Next year Edward will be far more competitive"
The composed Sedgefield youngster who’s long term ambition is to have a career in medicine and coaching says " I’m looking forward to the competition. I know it will be tough but I see it as an essential part of my skating education"
