Jessica will be competing in the 200m Butterfly and the 400IM (Individual Medley), and is the current British Champion having recently returned from the European Junior Championships in Majorca with a Gold and Silver medal.

Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, Academy Manager Allan McDermott and Jessica’s coach Graeme Antwhistle presented Jessica with a Union Jack at the Tees Active Sports Academy Induction ceremony. Her fellow Academy members and Borough of Stockton Swimming Scheme teammates signed Jessica’s flag wishing her good luck.

Jessica said, “I am really excited and honoured to be selected for the senior team, but I will be a little bit nervous rubbing shoulders with the British and European swimming superstars. My training has been going really well and I aim to give it my best shot whilst still learning from the whole experience.”

Jessica’s coach Graeme Antwhistle said” This is the next step up for Jessica and we both have an open mind on how far Jess can progress at the Europeans. I am sure this championship will be the start of a long and successful international career.”
