A Decade of Delight
The Borough of Stockton Swimming Scheme celebrated its 10th anniversary at an awards evening held at Billingham Forum Theatre. The awards evening was attended by Alan Dolan, President of the Amateur Swimming Association. Not only did Alan present awards to individual swimmers but he was also able to take the opportunity to present BOSSS with the prestigious Swim 21 Performance Club award. This puts BOSSS into an elite category of clubs in the country who have achieved this status.

The awards ceremony allowed the club to look back over the past 10 years which has seen members of the club win medals and championships at county, regional, national and international level.
Gordon Bruce spokesperson for BOSSS said “The awards ceremony has been a fantastic success and has given us an opportunity to thank everybody including swimmers, parents, committee members and of course or dedicated team of coaches.”
Gordon added “Graeme Antwhistle who is the BOSSS Head Coach started as a junior coach 10 years ago and has developed into one of the best coaching prospects in the country and has received various awards for coaching in recent years including the Evening Gazette Coach of the Year in 2006.Denise Pimlott has been coaching for 16 years and every single swimmer who has won her squad award over the best 10 years is still swimming successfully with BOSSS.”
BOSSS are now looking forward to the next 10 years and with Jemma Lowe and Jessica Dickons making waves on the international stage and a steady stream of talent being developed at the club. The Borough of Stockton Swim Scheme is a club going places.
