Castlegate Quay Watersports Centre
Fun and adventure!

Castlegate Quay Watersports Centre is probably the North East's largest and best-equipped sailing and paddling centre. The purpose-built centre is situated in a picturesque area of the Tees riverside in Stockton (near Victoria Bridge, right beside the Captain Cook Endeavour replica ship).
A diverse range of fun, water-based activities provides plenty of choice. Try kayaking, sailing, bell boating and the exhilaration of power boating! Or you could opt for our multi-activity day which lets you try a bit of everything.
Our fully qualified coaching staff offer tuition for beginners as well as the more experienced and closely supervise you at all times. All activities are suitable for people aged 8 and over. Equipment is provided, so you only need to bring a change of clothes. You don’t need to be a good swimmer, just confident in and around the water. Parents can even leave their children at the Centre for the day, sure that they’ll have a great time in a safe environment.
Not only will you feel revitalised following your water-based thrills, you can achieve R.Y.A. (Royal Yachting Association) and B.C.U. (British Canoe Union) qualifications too.
Individual and group tuition is available with courses running throughout the year. Experienced watersports enthusiasts may even like to join one of the many clubs we are home to e.g. Marathon Club, Polo Club and N.E. Disability Canoe Club.
Castlegate Quay Watersports Centre is also proud to support local businesses, providing superb meeting / hospitality facilities and corporate teambuilding days.
