Castlegate Quay Watersports Centre is probably the North East's largest and best-equipped sailing and paddling centre. The purpose-built centre is situated yards away from the town centre river frontage. Ideally placed 1 Mile upstream of the Tees Barrage, the centre boasts non-tidal fresh water from the upper Tees areas.
