There are many Activ8 Health and Fitness classes available throughout our leisure centres. All instructors are qualified and experienced, ensuring an enjoyable and safe workout.

Below is a little more information about each class
Active+ This is a gentle session that will concentrate on general fitness levels, joint mobility, flexibility and co-ordination. It is ideal for those who are new to exercise or have recently completed the Active Health Scheme.
Aqua Fit - This water-based session is a great workout for the heart and lungs, tones all the muscles in the body and doesn't leave you feeling sweaty and exhausted! It's a low impact activity which means no pain in your joints during and after.
Bums & Tums - This is a conditioning and muscular toning workout that targets those stubborn areas. Using hand weights, resistance bands and your own body weight this session helps firm up your body.
Boot Camp Circuit - Boot camp workouts will work your entire body. The workouts involve exercises like pushups, jumping jacks, crunches and other body weight exercises. In boot camp, your challenge is to take your body to its limit. You work, you sweat and, best of all, you burn calories like crazy.
Boxercise - This popular circuit based class uses boxing techniques, skipping and strength training stations to improve your overall fitness. If you’re serious about getting fit, then this is the session for you!
Circuits - A group-led station workout designed to increase muscular strength and endurance, aerobic fitness and co-ordination.
Dance Aerobics - With a funky fusion of aerobic, street and latin dance moves, this class will challenge and develop your cardiovascular fitness and keep you on your toes. choreographed routines will offer a different twist to those wanting a little more than the basic aerobics classes.
Hi Lo Aerobics - This traditional Hi Lo impact class is suitable for all ages and abilities. The workout is complimented with muscular strength and endurance work.
Khai Bo - This is the funky version of martial arts:-a stylised choreography of kicks and punches to music that gives a non-stop cardio workout and develops intense strength in the legs.
Kick Boxercise - Fitness Kickboxing Classes are a high energy workout that will challenge your mind and body to reach new heights. Whatever your fitness level and experience our instructors will guide and motivate you towards attaining your ultimate fitness goals. Aerobic Fitness Kickboxing classes are a great cardio-vascular workout set to music based on traditional kickboxing techniques with an aerobic twist.Pilates - This unique mat-based workout focuses on improving core strength and developing long, lean, toned muscles. The session helps leave you with a calmer mind, improved flexibility and good posture.
Pump FX - The weights workout with added funk!
Pump Fx strengthens, tones and defines every muscle in your body using barbells and adjustable weights. This class is suitable for all levels from strength seekers to those who simply want to tone and shape.Salsa Aerobics - This Unique class combines the fun element of salsa dancing with the physical benefits of a traditional aerobics class
Spinning - Indoor, group stationary, instructor led cycling providing a non impact workout for all levels of ability.
Step Aerobics - A high intensity, low impact total body conditioning workout with the emphasis on legs, hips and bottoms.
Tai Chi/Active + Tai Chi - A centuries old Chinese practice that can help stress relief, as well as relieving pain in joints and muscles. Improve your mental health and poise too.
50 + Keep Fit - This session offers a moderate intensity workout designed for everyone. This session not only improves your fitness, balance and flexibility, but more importantly your social life.
