About Us
Castlegate Quay offers a wide range of water-based activities based on the River Tees in Stockton, where it has been since it was opened in 2000.
The centre provides quality tuition and activities in Sailing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Bellboating, Powerboating, Raft building and Team building, all with fully qualified instructors.
All of our activities are accessible to anybody over the age of 8 years old.
Every year the governing bodies for paddlesports, the British Canoe Union and sailing, the Royal Yachting Association, inspect the centre. Holding these licenses show that the centre adheres to the standards set out by the NGB's to ensure our activities are done safely and with quality tutition.
As well as the yearly NGB inspections, the HSE also inspect the centre and award their Adventure Activities License recognising all of the activities that we run.
