AN INTRODUCTION TO TEES ACTIVE

Tees Active is one of the new breed of charitable leisure management organisations operating in the UK. Established as a non-profit-distributing company, it started operating on 1st May 2004.

It was set up with the intention of taking on the management of facilities provided by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and works very closely with the council as its main funding partner. However, as an independent organisation it is able to take on other projects with the aim of raising levels of physical activity in the community and providing an excellent management service.

VENUES

The complex includes a 25metre pool with wave machine and flumes. Splash also boosts a two-storey gym and fitness class programme. Leisure activities are available for the whole family including Badminton and Street Dance.

Discover a multitude of leisure activities and courses for all ages from five-a-side football to indoor bowls. A modern and spacious gym facility awaits you with a packed fitness programme running across three studios. Childcare facilities are also available as well as a stylish café area.

Dedicated swimming facility with a 25m pool containing an extensive swimming timetable including family fun sessions and weekend pool parties. Ideal for early morning and lunchtime swimmers.

All Weather Facility Providing Football and Hockey Pitches
for general hire.
Billingham Forum has now closed for a multi-million pound refurbishment and will re-open in January 2011.

Dedicated Health & Fitness facility, 50-Station Technogym with an extensive Fitness Class Programme.

This Whitewater Facility offers Kayaking, Canoeing, Rafting and a Whitewater Slalom.Cabin Accommodation is also available for those wanting to extend their experience on the water.

Purpose built watersports centre offering a diverse range of water-based activities. Kayaking, Sailing, Bell-boating, Power boating, Canoeing, Teambuilding, clubs and conference facilities.

A wet and dry leisure facility located in the picturesque town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. The Swan Centre for Leisure is currently undergoing a refurbishment, which will enhance the current facilities.

We welcome almost 2 million visits per year and employ around 370 staff.
